The gripping Malayalam crime thriller Asthra, which released in theatres in December 2023, has finally arrived on OTT. Directed by Azad Alavil and headlined by Amith Chakkalakal, Asthra is now streaming on Manorama Max. About the Movie
Asthra follows the story of Joshy Mathew, a determined investigating officer played by Amith Chakkalakal. When a series of gruesome murders shakes Sulthan Bathery in Wayanad, Joshy is called in to crack the case. What makes these killings even more mysterious is the eerie signature left behind—an arrow mark at every crime scene, especially where police officers are targeted.
As the investigation deepens, Joshy finds himself drawn into a web of secrets, betrayal, and hidden motives. The plot doesn’t just deal with the whodunit aspect, but also dives into the emotional toll on the investigator and the socio-political layers surrounding the crimes. Debutant Suhasini Kumaran plays the female lead, and the film also boasts an impressive supporting cast including Kalabhavan Shajon, Sudhir Karamana, Senthil Krishna, and Santosh Keezhattoor.
