At the heart of Parannu Parannu Parannu Chellan is Jiju, acted out by Unni Lalu—a boy-next-door fellow with his heart hanging on his sleeve. He is head over heels for Sandhya (Samriddhi Tara), a girl from a higher caste. Theirs is a gentle love, but one strained by a society that still views such love as rebellion. Matters become intense as Sandhya's family member Satheesh (Sidharth Bharathan) comes into play, essaying the role of villain with intimidating confidence. Follows a roller-coaster of emotional highs and lows, pervaded by convention, with the low-key current of young love desperately trying to hold on.
The film balances familiarity with innovation. On one hand, it evokes memories of Malayalam films from the 1990s, with scenes of stolen glances, meddling relatives, and rural backdrops.
