Whether you're looking to binge-watch a gripping investigation or prefer light-hearted paranormal comedy, this week's OTT slate is surprisingly diverse.

Asthra (Malayalam)

In Asthra, Amith Chakkalakal plays Joshy Mathew, an upright investigating officer called in to crack a chilling serial murder case in Wayanad’s Sulthan Bathery. Each victim, all police officers, is left with a strange arrow mark near the crime scene — adding a chilling mystery to the already tense case. The film explores both the psychological toll on Joshy and the larger socio-political context behind the killings.

The movie features debutante Suhasini Kumaran, Kalabhavan Shajon, Sudheer Karamana, Senthil Krishna and Santosh Keezhattoor in important roles. With Mani Perumal’s atmospheric cinematography and Rony Raphael’s gripping score, Asthra promises to be an edge-of-the-seat crime thriller in the Malayalam space.

Kuberaa (Telugu, Tamil)

Set against the backdrop of a massive financial scam, Kuberaa stars Dhanush as Deva, a beggar from Tirupati who is unwillingly dragged into a secret mission involving an oil reserve scam. Orchestrated by Neeraj Mitra, a cunning businessman, and executed by Deepak, a disgraced former CBI officer, the plan spirals out of control when Deva realises the sinister nature of his assignment.

When Deva escapes, he meets Sameera (played by Rashmika Mandanna) and what follows is a tale of courage, survival and rebellion. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the film also stars Nagarjuna in a crucial role. Early reviews are calling Kuberaa ambitious, with strong performances, even if the pacing is uneven.

The Bhootnii (Hindi)

Saaree (Telugu)

DNA (Tamil)

Most people dismiss her claim as a result of her mental condition. However, Anand believes her, and what follows is a relentless investigation into a baby-swapping racket, spanning hospitals, middlemen, and corrupt networks.
