About the Movie
Saaree follows the story of a man who, while holidaying with friends, spots a woman dressed in a traditional saree. What starts as an innocent attraction quickly spirals into unhealthy obsession. Upon facing rejection, the man loses grip on reality, descending into a delusional and dangerous mindset. His desire to possess her by any means disrupts not only her life but also those of her family and close friends.
This psychological thriller dives deep into themes of toxic obsession, male entitlement, and emotional manipulation. It’s not just a romantic drama gone wrong—it’s a disturbing character study. Satya Yadu, Kalpa Latha, Sahil Sambyal, and Darbha Appaji Ambarisha play pivotal roles, with Anand Raag composing a haunting soundtrack that adds to the film’s intense mood. The film was originally made in Telugu but has been dubbed into Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam to reach a wider audience.
